Jeremy has been working with churches and Christian charities since 1998 when he was appointed as Community Development Worker for a Baptist Church near Reading. One of the community projects he set up was a befriending scheme which enabled volunteers to visit older people who were experience loneliness and social isolation. This project then grew over the following years and the model soon began to be replicated in other parts of the UK by working in partnership with churches and Christian charities. He then founded national Christian charity Linking Lives UK in 2016 to continue the work. Having moved on from Linking Lives UK in 2025, he is now focusing on a combination of fundraising consultancy and community development with the Christian faith groups.
Jeremy has a passion to reach out to those on the margins of society who are often forgotten or ignored by those around them. His experience in local, regional and national settings has enabled him to gain experience in most aspects of charity management including fundraising, strategic planning and partnership working. He is also a fundraising consultant with Action Planning and a member of the Institute of Fundraising.
He is married to Christine and has two teenage sons. He enjoys being part of the worship team at his church in Reading where he plays guitar. In his spare time, he also enjoys playing golf and listening to music.
